Now there are many poker players who will tell you that Video Poker is not poker. Video Poker, they say, is a slot machine using playing cards. Well I am not going to get involved in that argument but I will tell you that every poker room in Las Vegas has Video Poker machines surrounding it.

Let me say that again: Every poker room in Las Vegas is surrounded by Video Poker machines. Sure, you can find VP machines in other parts of the casino but if you want to find the highest concentration, head to the poker room. And yes, when I go play a tournament with my buddies, the early bustouts can usually be found at the Video Poker Bar, also usually found very near the poker room.

Recently, we have noticed that the poker room promotions and the video poker promotions are being tied together by the various casinos. So we will keep a sharp eye out for any changes in the poker room promotions that may involve video poker and visa versa.

First tip: Poker Players knew the odds, so if you are going to play video poker in a casino, we can assure you that the high pay odds tables can almost always be found right outside the poker room. If you don’t want to search the banks of VP machines to find the best pay scale, ask someone at the low stakes Hold’em table in the poker room, they will know where the best machines are.
