Tim holds a Ph.D. in cross-cultural psychology; he has focused both his writing and research skills on poker for the last several years.
He covered poker tournaments for PokerPages, PokerNews and CardPlayer and writes his unique "Poker Shrink" column looking at the psychological aspects of poker. Tim lives in Las Vegas where he covers all things poker, as well as traveling to major poker tournaments in Europe, Australia and anywhere the poker boom continues. He regularly plays all of the rooms in Las Vegas and follows the trends in poker tournaments and cash games, as well as the changing rules and tournament structures of the various properties and poker tours.

| Everyday we hear the talk about the poker boom being over, I don't think people have really looked at the business model for online poker. The business is just in its early stages, the potential is nowhere close to being realized. Players may expect more and more opportunities online, with improved content, better service and more action.
