High Stakes Poker

High Stakes Poker is one of the better made-for-television poker shows. Unfortunately, the program is not yet available outside of the US. All the big name players have played on HSP and they seem to understand the camera better on this show, so the side talk and prop bets make for very good television. This is a cash game not a tournament format, which also means that players come and go; many episodes have seen 12 or more different players at the table over the course of an evening.

There are several sites on the internet that stream the episodes of HSP but I recently found one that does it in one segment, without commercials. They have all of the first three years of the show and add the episodes from year 4 as soon as they show on US television.

I often go down to the South Point Casino/Studio when they shoot the High Stakes Poker show and I can tell you that the very best play and player interaction are put in the show. This is truly a show all about entertaining the audience with poker.

Here's the link.
