We would like to take a moment to thank all those who participated in the first WPT Marrakech, including journalist, media and poker site from around the world. Here are are some of the key facts and highlights of the week...

- The Venue: Casino de Marrakech
- Main Event from Oct, 16 to Oct, 18
- Main Event Buy-in: €4,500
- 416 registered players (event sold out)
- 32 different nationalities
- Global prizepool of over € 1,6 million - 20 Side Events from Oct, 11 to Oct, 18 2009. Buy-in from € 225 to € 9,000
- Over 50 international journalists covering the event (web, press, TV and radio)

We would like to congradulate all the event winners, especially:
- Christophe Savary from France, 1st winner of the WPT Marrakech, who took back home over €350,000, the official Tiffany WPT bracelet and his $25,500 seat to the WPT Wolrd Championship 2010.
- All the Chilipoker qualified players, among then Adrian Marin (Romania) and Balasz Botond (Hungary) who both made it to the Finale table.

Special shout out to Gwénael Gosch (France), William Ferrer (France) and Gérard Rodriguez (Spain) who all finished in the money.
