If you like Omaha then once a month you should head downtown for the Omaha Weekend at Binion’s. The dates for the rest of the year are Oct. 12-14, Nov. 9-11, and Dec. 14-16. For every Omaha weekend, each day features a different tournament. Friday is a pot-limit Omaha tournament, Saturday is pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better, and Sunday offers a limit Omaha eight-or-better tournament. All tournaments begin at 17:00 PT and have a $150 buy-in.

“The first Omaha tournament weekend was in August, and we got very positive feedback from the players,” said Gary DeWitt, the poker room manager at Binion’s. “They liked the structure and the way it was run. Your humble Las Vegas news hound played in two of the September events and can report a growing player base but no final table-yet!
